Kia unveils the premium multi-purpose vehicle Carnival

Yontrakit Kia Motor Company Limited, an importer and distributor of Kia cars in Thailand, officially revealed that the sales are growing against the Covid-19 trend. This year will be focusing on entering the market by continuously expanding showrooms with service centers in order to support customers in all regions. The highlight is the 4th generation premium multi-purpose vehicle Kia Carnival exhibited for all sub-models with special offers. It is now started at the 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show at Kia booth B1, Challenger Hall 1-3, Impact Muang Thong Thani during March 23 – April 3, 2022

Miss Lasanun Phunithiphankul, Marketing Manager of Yontrakit Kia Motors Co., Ltd. said, ‘The past year of 2021 was another year that business operations have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. However, Yontrakit Kia has continually adapted to cope with such situations, and the growth in 2020 was increased by more than 33% with a total sales of 1,653 vehicles. However, economic activity is gradually recovering as a result of measures to open the country and relax various control measures. These positive factors are causing consumer confidence to improve, and Yontrakit Kia has adjusted its sales and service strategies to fully and comprehensively meet the needs of customers with a wide range of promotional campaigns, expansion of showrooms, and service centers. Currently, Kia has 20 showrooms and service centers across the country, and there are plans to expand to 5 more locations by 2022, which are in Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Pathom and Nonthaburi.

In addition, there are many areas in the process of appointing new distributors as well. Another important factor is the launch of a multi-purpose vehicle for families, the new Kia Carnival, which has received a great response. This also reflects a growing popularity of the multi-purpose vehicle group in Thailand by occupying the market share of the MPV by more than 32%.”

However, at present, the market is still facing risk factors from the spread of COVID-19. In particular, the global shortage of semiconductor chips has resulted in delays in vehicle production and delivery. Yontrakit Kia has made every effort to assess the situation and adjust its stock plans to expedite delivery of vehicles to customers who have made a reservation as soon as possible, Miss Lasanun added.
