The new BMW R 1250 RT — a touring motorcycle with perfect combination of powerful engine performance and the comfort for long journeys, is ready to create impressive experiences for bikers on every route. The model is equipped with the legendary BMW Motorrad boxer engine, electronic fuel injection, and a 3-way closed-loop catalytic converter. Besides, the new BMW ShiftCam Variable Valve Actuation technology is also built into the engine in order to provide superior efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

The model is powered by a 2-cylinder boxer engine with 1,254CC air-cooled and liquid-cooled system, delivering a maximum power of 100 kW / 136Hp at 7,750rpm and a maximum torque of 143 Nm at 6,250rpm. The new boxer engine also features an exhaust system that can emit less emissions and consume less fuel. Moreover, with BMW ShiftCam technology, it enhances engine performance, camshaft balance and engine timing.

R 1250 RT comes with a variety of riding modes for different riders’ needs. Aside from the latest “Eco” mode — fuel efficient mode than ever, Rain mode, and Road mode, there are also Riding Modes Pro such as Dynamic, Dynamic Pro and Hill Start Control Pro. The model also comes with Dynamic Traction Control and Full Integral ABS Pro, which work effectively with the Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), and Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) in order to create more confident for the biker.

Moreover, the new R 1250 RT also offers a more comfortable driving experience with the Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) system combined with Active Cruise Control (ACC) to help control the cruise and maintain a distance from the vehicle in front automatically.

The design of the new BMW R 1250 RT continues to highlight the iconic elements of touring bikes, including distinctively LED headlights, Adaptive turn signals, a 10.25-inch TFT screen displaying a full navigation system with smartphone connection support, and a phone holder that can prevent water spray. Furthermore, it also comes with a built-in cooling fan, USB port, and Audio System 2.0 making every journey more enjoyable.
