BIMS welcomed the Ministry of Industry
The Executives of Grand Prix Company welcomed the Ministry of Industry to the Bangkok Motor Show 2022.
Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, Chief Executive Officer of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the Chairman of the Bangkok International Motor Show along with Mr. Anothai Eamlumnow, Chief Operating Officer of Grand Prix International PCL. and the Vice Chairman of the Bangkok International Motor Show welcomed Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Minister of Industry together with the committee on the occasion of visiting the 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show at Challenger Hall 1-3, Impact Muang Thong Thani on March 27, 2022
Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit Minister of Industry visited the 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show along with Mr. Teerayut Vanichchang, Vice Minister of Industry, Mr. Kritchanon Aiyapanya, Secretary to the Minister of Industry, Mr. Kobchai Sangsittisawad Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Mr. Wisanu Tubthieng, Mr. Bainoi Suwanchatri, Inspector General of the Ministry of Industry, and the management team of the Ministry of Industry.
The Minister of Industry has praised the organizer of the Bangkok International Motor Show for a secure preparation according to the measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus as people are showing great interest in the 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show. The government places high importance to the automotive industry because Thailand is one of the main 10 countries producing cars in the world, and in the ASEAN countries, Thailand is ranked on the top, which this year, there are about 1,800,000 cars assembled in Thailand.
Meanwhile, in the Bangkok event International Motor Show this year, there are more electric vehicle manufacturers, which is in line with the government’s policy that expects Thailand to be the production hub of electric vehicles. The government aims to produce at least 360,000 electric vehicles within the next 5 years, divided into 260,000 cars for domestic use and 100,000 for export. The government has measures to reduce the import tax for entrepreneurs and excise taxes, and there are also measures for car distributors. Therefore, it is expected that in the future, electric vehicles will definitely gain more popularity.
The 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show was held under the concept of “KEEP MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER” by Grand Prix International Public Company Limited as the organizer. There are 27 car companies, 8 motorcycle companies as well as auto related brands and services participating in the exhibition on the area of over 170,960 square meters, which is held during March 23 – April 3, 2022.
