Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik ready to race on the streets of Bangsaen!

From the 29thof June until the 3rd of July, professional Thai racing driver Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik will take to the streets of Bangsaen for the first hosting of the Bangsaen Grand Prix in over 2 years. Sandy currently holds the lap record and has a race victory under his belt at this beautiful seaside street circuit . In 2022, Sandy is targeting victory once again.

Thailand and ASEAN’s premier racing series – Thailand Super Series – will return to the iconic Bangsaen Street Circuit for their season opener from June 29th  to July 3rd. The circuit has not seen action since the 2019 season, meaning all participants will be very keen to resume racing at the beautiful venue later this month. The series expects a total spectatorship of over 300,000, which should see the seaside city burst into life.

Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik has been preparing himself in all ways possible to be as ready as he can be to tackle the challenge of driving a GT3 car at its absolute limit on the unforgiving and bumpy street circuit. With a rigorous training and sim program, and also testing with B-Quik Absolute Racing Team to set up the Audi R8 GT3 Evo II’s for the demands of a street circuit. Sandy has left no stone unturned on his pursuit of victory.

“I’m happy and definitely very much looking forward to be racing here again. No other circuit offers the challenge of Bangsaen. We will be faced with many challenges throughout the week of the race, and together with B-Quik Absolute Racing, we will make sure that our Audi R8 GT3 Evo II’s are set up well and ready for this demanding track. I’m excited to see what changes have been made to the round-a-bout corner, this was one of my favourites before so if it offers more technicality now I truly welcome it! Let’s see who comes out on top as we fight it out on the streets! Hope to see a lot of people there.” Explains Sandy.

This season, Sandy will be sharing his #25 Audi R8 GT3 Evo II with Malaysian racing driver Akash Nandy. The duo will race under the B-Quik Absolute Racing banner, and as an Official Audi Sport Asia driver, Sandy represents the four rings as they lunge for another shot at the overall titles in this year’s Thailand Super Series. The series will commence at Bangsaen, and will finish off the year with 3 more events all at Chang International Circuit, in Buriram.
